Paleoart: Deinonychus

Deep in the heart of prehistoric Oklahoma, a Deinonychus carefully makes its way through a murky swamp in search of prey.

A piece I've meant to start and complete for quite a while now. I wanted something that felt like a shot you'd see in a Planet Earth episode while still feeling like an illustration. Deinonychus is one of my favorites and I've wanted to do it some justice for ages. My Inspiration came from wildlife photography of Pumas in Florida's swamps.
