Allosaurus: The End of Oak Street Alternatives

The End of Oak Street is out, and as usual, I have lots of issues with the dinosaurs used in the film. For now, this post will be just about Allosaurus.
Im pretty disappointed in ILM and their work on the prehistoric animals in this film. The Allosaurus is quite literally the Jurassic World Dominion Allosaurus, but with a coat of mangy feathers glued on top, and brighter blue color. All of the anatomical issues from the original are back here and look awful. So, because Im petty, I took it upon myself to create various designs that I could come up with that I think would fit the film's design cues and premise.
The first design in the post is heavily influenced by Todd Marshall's style. He balances gnarly, gritty textures with lots of believability and aesthetic. All delicious frosting on top of the base cake, which is made of scientific accuracy and solid anatomy. Detail and finesse the movie lacks.
The other two sketch designs seen together (#1 & #3) are both attempts at keeping the animal feathered but in two different ways. One was inspired by the mane on lions, large and imposing, with striking markings. The other is more reserved in feathering, but finer attention was given to the scales and forms of the face.
The last image is an edit of the animal as seen in the film. Fixed a lot of anatomy issues like the skull shape, undersized arms, and the odd choice of having a feathered coat & a row of large spikes down the back.
